Feet First Soccer is excited to be at West End Community Church Mother's Day Out! We really look forward to seeing your child each week at class. Below is the weekly schedule for soccer students

Tuesdays from 2:30-3:15pm

Coaching Staff

Coach Dave is the Nashville Director and head coach for your child's Feet First Soccer class. He is excited to be partnering with WECC Mother's Day Out and looks forward to having your child in class!

Coach Luke

Coming from a small village in Northeast England, Sam moved to the United States in 2014 to further pursue his passion for soccer at the collegiate level. While earning his bachelor’s degree in business management, Sam was a member of the men’s soccer team at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. Upon receiving his undergraduate degree, he continued to earn his master’s degree in education at King University while also coaching the women’s soccer team. Sam coached another year at the collegiate level at Middle Tennessee State University and is also a licensed physical education teacher.

During his time at Bethel University, Sam met his now wife, Jessy, whom he married in December of 2020. Their family consists of sons Asher & Ellis who will no doubt be immersed in the soccer world too! Along with spending time with his family and two dogs, Sam enjoys playing golf, going to the beach and cheering on his favorite team, Manchester United. Sam is excited to be a part of the HappyFeet Legends team in Nashville and looks forward to seeing so many kids and families out enjoying the wonderful sport of soccer.

Coach Dave

Dave was born and raised here in Music City! As a child, he played little league soccer which at the time was very new in Nashville. Dave was your average soccer player who just wanted to be on a team, score goals, and have fun! Which is why he identity so closely with young soccer players of today.

Dave has been coaching soccer for over 8 years now. He has coached Recreational Youth Soccer teams as well as Youth Travel Soccer Teams. His 2017 Boys Travel team is currently ranked #1 in the National. His Motto is "FUN is the First Objective, Development is the Second Objective, Success is the byproduct." While coaching Dave loves to have FUN! He wants all players to fall in love with soccer, love to come to practice, and eager for game day!

Dave was lucky enough to marry his high school sweetheart Kayla on May 28th, 2016. They share two beautiful kiddos, daughter Gabby is 9 and son King David is 4. Gabby started playing soccer at age 3 and King David started playing at age 2 1/2. Outside of soccer Dave loves football. His Favorite teams are Alabama "Roll Tide", and the New England Patriots. Dave is excited to be apart of Nashville Upstart Athletics, and looks forward to seeing the youth of the greater Nashville area enjoying the greatest sport in the world!

Monthly Curriculum

Every month, your child will focus on a new soccer move and character trait while going on many fun adventures. We want your child to be able to take what they learn in school then practice it at home - and we want you to be involved too! Each month we will send out a similar newsletter through Playmetrics. Feet First Class FAQs

WHAT IS FEET FIRST CLASS AT SCHOOL?

Feet First Soccer classes are designed to maximize MVPA (moderate to vigorous physical activity) during your child's school day. This helps them perform better in school and is a welcomed break from their normal routines. Our trained coach comes to your child's school once per week and leads a fun & engaging 30-minute soccer class.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING ANYTHING FOR FEET FIRST CLASS?

Nope! Your coach will come prepared with all of the needed gear for a fun & engaging soccer class. The only request is that your child wear comfortable clothes on Feet First days. No special clothes, shoes or gear is needed.

WHO WILL BE COACHING MY CHILD?

Coach Dave will be leading the classes. See above to find out more about him.

WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE DOING IN FEET FIRST CLASS?

Your child will go on imaginative adventures while learning real soccer skills. Each child will have a soccer ball at their feet for the entire class. Great! The next step is registering for the ongoing regular classes. You may do so by clicking here. You only need to sign up once and your account will be automatically billed each month. You can cancel at anytime.

HOW MUCH IS THE CLASS?

Feet First Class is $50, billed monthly. The number of classes per month will range from 3-5, depending on the number of weeks in each month. Sign up and billing will be done through your school.
